Beaver Scouts are open to Boys and Girls aged 6-8 years old.  Danbury Scouts have two Beaver Colonies – Blakeswood (Mondays) and Lingwood (Thursdays).

What do Beavers do?  Weekly activites are based around craft, outdoor activities, games, community visits, nature investigation, learning how to keep safe and making friendships.

Our programme is planned so that the Beavers can achieve each of the 6 Challenge Badges, which are: Promise, Friendship; Fitness; Creative; Outdoor and Global. Once all of the Challenge Badges have been achieved a Beaver will have completed the Chief Scout’s Bronze Award.

We participate in the Chelmsford District annual Craft Competition, Sleepovers, Beaver Hike & Activity Day and this year an exciting trip to Duxford.

Over recent months we’ve visited the vets, had a visit from some bats, celebrated Diwali, watched the lambing and had a special visit from the police helicopter!
