Welcome to 1st Danbury Scouts

100 Years of Scouting In Danbury

Click here to find out more about our Centenary Celebration to be held on 4th September 2021.

We’re 1st Danbury Scouts and everyone’s welcome here. All genders, races and backgrounds. Every week we give over 135 young people aged 6-14 years the skills they need, for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life.

We believe in bringing people together. We celebrate diversity and stand against intolerance, always. We’re a worldwide movement, creating stronger communities and inspiring positive futures.

Based in the heart of Danbury, we’ve got two Beaver Colonies, two Cub Packs, and two Scout Troops, we’re also home to Syndicate Explorer Scouts.

We might be an organisation for our community’s young people, but there’s always a home for the adults as well. To do what we do, we need volunteers to undertake a wide variety of roles, both with and without the young people. To find out more about volunteering click here.

Danbury Scouts are also organisers of the annual Danbury Fireworks Event that has been running for over 50 years, raising valuable funds for the Group and local charities.
