Welcome to 1st Danbury Scouts

We’ve got a new volunteering opportunity available

Could you lend a hand with the Scout section? We’re seeking a new Scout team member. Click here to learn more about this role and get involved in camping, climbing, and community projects. Together, we’ll prepare young people with #SkillsForLife.

We’re 1st Danbury Scouts and everyone’s welcome here. All genders, races and backgrounds. Every week we give over 172 young people aged 4-14 years the skills they need, for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life.

We believe in bringing people together. We celebrate diversity and stand against intolerance, always. We’re a worldwide movement, creating stronger communities and inspiring positive futures.

Based in the heart of Danbury, we’ve got a Squirrels Drey, two Beaver Colonies, three Cub Packs, and three Scout Troops, we’re also home to Syndicate Explorer Scouts. To find out more about how young people can join our group, click here.

We might be an organisation for our community’s young people, but there’s always a home for the adults as well. To do what we do, we need volunteers to undertake a wide variety of roles, both with and without the young people. To find out more about volunteering click here.

Danbury Scouts are also organisers of the annual Danbury Fireworks Event that has been running for over 50 years, raising valuable funds for the Group and local charities.
